we have goalies for march 30, 2005
A co-worker of mine, Bruce Blackie, will be playing goal for us in the morning. We have two goalies. No shooting at posts or upturned nets!
trash talk. chalk talk. keep your stick on the ice.

A correction to below. Greg Tracy will be in net on Sept 8. Here's the goalie sked for September:
As it stands right now, it looks like Greg Tracy and Mark Emond may be splitting the time in goal this winter for us. Mark will be in net for us on September 8 for sure...
I'll keep you posted on any further developments.

Unfortunately my 7:30am-3:30pm shift at Hydro Ottawa will not allow me to participate in the Wed morning hockey in the near future, so I won't be returning this fall. Changing my working hours Wed mornings has been difficult since a person on the evening shift uses my desk at 4:00 pm - space is at a premium. Since Mike was kind enough to organize the "CrossKeys" side for the summer with the expectation that I would pick it up again this fall, I thought I would make my decision early so that there is time to elect a new person to this prestigious role.
I was hoping to have returned to the high tech sector by now, but the way things are going I don't see that happening any time soon. Which means that I'll be at Hydro for the near future. It was not an easy decision, but nothing has been easy the last couple of years!
I see by the bits of e-mail and blog that some things haven't changed - goalies are as unpredictable as ever and there is no shortage of incidents to poke fun at. I will miss these and the camaraderie on and off the ice (I will not miss the 1 hr drive in the teeth of rush hour jungle between game & work).
I wish the best for all of you - please keep in touch. Perhaps if there is a change in my employment next spring or summer and there is an opening I can make a return.
Cheers,
Don
